From Studio to Archive

A step-by-step path for new makers — from setting up your atelier to fulfilling your first orders. The process is simple, fair, and built to keep your craft at the centre.

STEP 1

Set Up Your Atelier

Create your maker profile — the face of your craft on the archive.

  • Register an account and head to the Vendor Dashboard.
  • Enter your studio name, write a biography telling collectors who you are and what you make.
  • Upload a portrait photo — natural light works best, this is how collectors connect with you.
  • Your profile becomes a public Maker Page at /maker/your-name, showcasing all your listed pieces.

STEP 2

List Your First Piece

Add products with full provenance — materials, origin, and imagery.

  • From your dashboard, open the "Active Listings" tab and click "Add Product".
  • Enter the title, price, and category (Ceramics, Textiles, Woodwork, Metalwork, Jewelry, Glasswork, Leather, or Paper & Print).
  • Describe the materials, dimensions, and origin — provenance is what sets the archive apart.
  • Upload multiple product images. Collectors buy with their eyes first.
  • Publish — your piece appears in the archive immediately and links back to your maker profile.

STEP 3

Choose Your Subscription

Pick a plan that matches the scale of your studio.

  • Three tiers: Artisan (£9.99/mo, 50 listings), Studio (£14.99/mo, 100 listings), Master (£19.99/mo, 250+ listings).
  • No commissions — you keep 100% of your sale price, minus standard payment processing.
  • Subscribe from the Vendor Pricing page; payment is handled securely via Base44 Payments.
  • Cancel or change plans anytime — your subscription adjusts on the next billing cycle.

STEP 4

Manage Orders & Fulfillment

When collectors buy, fulfill with the same care you put into making.

  • Orders appear instantly in your dashboard under "Order History" and on the dedicated Order Management page.
  • Each order shows the customer's name, email, shipping address, and the items purchased.
  • Ship within 3 working days using the customer's provided address.
  • Update the order status (pending → confirmed → shipped → delivered) so collectors stay informed.
  • Payment is captured on purchase; payouts reach your linked account within 5–7 working days.
